The stunning sliding-screen Surface Studio desktop PC was a breakthrough innovation, dropping jaws when it was released by Microsoft. However, it debuted with some older hardware inside, due to its small form factor base and its long development cycle. The Surface Studio 2 should make up for all those ills.
Surface Studio 2
We expect Microsoft to throw a huge party for the release of the new-generation range of Surface products being released in 2018, and we expect the updated Surface Studio 2 to again be the star of the show.
The original Surface Studio dropped jaws when it was released, and the new Studio 2 will do much the same.
We expect the new Studio 2 to feature:
The same sliding giant touch screen
The same small form factor base
Revised ports
Four USB-C ports
Four Thunderbolt 4 ports
Audio jack
1GBPS Ethernet
UHS-!! SD card slot
Bluetooth 5
8th-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors
16GB to 64GBof RAM options
New nVidia graphics card
Keyboard, Mouse, Pen and Dial
We anticipate the Surface Studio 2 being announced in Q2 2018 and to ship in Q3 2018.
Until next time,
